Welcome to the first Review for Procooling.com. I originally didnt plan on taking this site in this direction but then I figured "Hell why not".  I get to play with some cool hardware, and you get to hear my real world reviews and thoughts on it.  You will soon see that I dont use "benchmarking" or other synthetic tests unless there is a darn good reason. I will always use a Pros/Cons rating for the products.  Lets get onto this review!

Well this is anything but a "breaking news" review or anything to recent but I thought this product was worth a look at.

Specs:

First thing I looked at (except that freak on the cover) was the system specs and requirements. All in all it looked fairly normal, then you look at the small print: "For optimum capture performance, a 500MHz CPU is recommended".

All I got to say about that is.. DAMN! So a 450Mhz CPU is NOT enough to run the VCR app??  Well we will see later, but thats an incredible amount of hardware to require for such a cheap card.

Price:

Well compared to other competing cards this is one heck of a value. It cost only 199$ at CompUSA in WI. The Matrox equal (supperior in many ways) is the Marvel G400TV (300+$), and the ATI competing card is the All In Wonder 128 (199 - 279$).
